Family business with a tradition

For more than two hundred years, the Semolic family has worked for the transport market.

INOVA Consulting is a successor of a long-lasting Semolic family business. It began at a time when horses were the main mode of transport for people and goods. Serial production of whips for carriages, freight wagons and riders started in the late 18th century, and the trademark »Echte Triester« (»Pravi tržaški«, Trieste Original) was later registered for products sold across the Austro-Hungarian Empire and beyond. Production continued after both world wars.

In the 1980s the family entered new markets: system engineering, information systems design, innovation and project management.

INOVA Consulting worked with experts and companies from several countries on projects for customers in Slovenia and abroad, among them Cranefield College in South Africa, the Faculty of Logistics at the University of Maribor and the Toolmakers Cluster of Slovenia. This work now continues at INTESO Solutions.

Innovation and project management

Programme and project management, technology and innovation management, and organisation development, together with training and life-long learning.

Websites and ICT systems

Websites and portals, e-commerce, systems for events and e-learning, Facebook and mobile apps, databases and SEO. Clients included Honda Slovenia and local BMW and Mercedes-Benz dealerships.

Graphic design

Corporate design strategy and design for events and campaigns, products, company documents and online services.

LENS Living Lab

Research and development, including ExArca, a collaboration platform for virtual teams.

Slovenian Logistic Association: Award for best R&D project in 2013

ExArca, best R&D project of 2013

The project 3L Ex Arca, proposed by INOVA Consulting – LENS Living Lab, was selected by the Slovenian Logistics Association as the best R&D project of the year.

Today INTESO develops ExArca as a collaboration platform for networks, associations, clusters and project consortia.
